Thanks, Ham (Publisher of Florida Reenactors Newsletter) for all your hard work each day, week and month providing a platform from which we contributors may offer our Opinions and Perspectives.
Better than some, I understand People's desires to be Free and to exercise Our Right to Say and Write and Express Ourselves (non-violently) as we Choose. And I realize a plurality of Reenactors here in the South are enamored with the refinements associated with the imagery of the "Old South's" Plantation Culture, and through ancestry and/or Class hold a nostalgic affinity for the "Lost Cause."
I understand. We've All a Need to "Belong" (#AbrahamMaslow).
That said, Images and Symbols exert a great influence in our Lives, sometimes subtle. I think that it would be an improvement, and not in the least a sleight, to tweak the image of the two flags at the top, Letterhead of the Reenactors page to position the Stars & Stripes in front of, and not behind the CSA Battle Flag, the Stars & Bars.
Just a friendly suggestion.
Thanks for your reading, consideration, and, again, for your work as Publisher.
Sincerely,
Lew A. (Lincoln) Welge
